In 2015, CRIPS-TOGO is implementing xxx projects that cover these two priority areas of intervention:
Project 1
Priority area of action: Managing HIV infection in children
Title: Strengthening the medical, nutritional, psychological and social care of HIV-infected children and adolescents and their families
General objective: To strengthen the medical, nutritional, psychological and social care of HIV-infected children and adolescents, their siblings and their parents or guardians followed by CRIPS-TOGO in Lomé and Noah.
Specific objectives
- Continue routine medical, nutritional, social and psychological care for children and adolescents
- Strengthen psychological care for mothers and young children aged 0 to 3 years;
- Accompanying children, adolescents and young people in adherence to antiretroviral treatment in Lomé and Noépé;
- Screening for hepatitis B and C in all infected children followed;
- Strengthen biological monitoring by achieving viral load in 35 children
Project target audience
Direct beneficiaries: A total of 310 OEVs distributed as follows:
- For CRIPS-TOGO: 150 children infected with HIV, 30 infants born to HIV-positive mothers and 70 children affected by HIV (mostly orphans) for a total of 250 children.
- For district hospitals: 60 to 40 children at D2 hospital and 20 children at Assahoun hospital
Indirect beneficiaries: parents or guardians of children, other siblings of children and other adult patients.
Locations for project implementation
The project is being implemented in two distinct areas: an urban area and a rural area.
The urban area is Lomé: in Lomé, the project is carried out in the DZIDZO Medical and Social Centre of CRIPS-TOGO Lomé, in the No. 2 health district located in the Bè district. Lomé's activities also extend to children followed in District No. 2 hospital on the aspects of psychological support and status announcement.
The rural area in the Avé Health District: in The Avé, the project's activities are carried out in the ATE and CARIN HEMMES Medical and Social Centre in CRIPS-TOGO Noépé in the canton of Noépé and cover the children followed in the hospital of Assahoun on the psychological and status announcement aspects.

Project 2
Priority area of action: Promoting sexual and reproductive health
Title: Extension of Integrated ST/HIV and Reproductive Sexual Health Prevention Services for Youth Under 25 in Advanced Strategy in Avé Prefecture.
The overall objective is to expand services in sexual and reproductive health, sTI/HIV prevention and management and the delivery of contraceptive methods in the health area of 15 outlying care units in the AVE prefecture.
Specific goals:
- Improve and strengthen the knowledge and skills of 5,000 young people in HIV prevention and reproductive health through 12 months of one-on-one talks and interviews in 15 villages (at a rate of 1 village chosen by USP for the 15 USP ) by the team of social facilitators of the NGO CRIPS-TOGO
- To provide HIV counselling to 1,500 15-24 year olds for 12 months in 15 villages by the CRIPS-TOGO NGO's team of advice/testing providers.
- To provide comprehensive care to 35 new HIV-positive young people (29 girls and 06 men) at the NOEPE centre for 12 months by the centre's team.
- Ensure the correct management of STIs in 250 young people for 12 months in 15 villages by USP providers and the CRIPS-TOGO medical team.
- Provide PF benefits to 200 young people aged 15 to 24 for 12 months in 15 villages by the USP provider team and the CRIPS-TOGO NGO team.
- Distribute condoms to young people between 15 and 24 during the 12-month project activities in 15 villages by the CRIPS-TOGO NGO team.
Project Target Audience: A total of 5,000 young people (2000 male and 3,000 female) living in the health areas of the 15 USP will benefit from the project's actions. These are young people between the ages of 10 and 24. These are the young schoolchildren of the colleges and high schools; young extra-curricular sets: apprentice seamstresses, weavers, hairdressers, weavers, zémidjanmen, farmers. The majority are single but there are some who live in a couple.
Project location: AVE Prefecture in the Maritime Administrative Region of Togo.

Project 3
Priority area of action: Promoting sexual and reproductive health
Title: STS awareness, screening and family planning services for 10 to 24 youth in 10 villages in AVE Prefecture
Overall goal: To help improve the knowledge of 10-24 year olds in SSR and to provide community care
Specific goals:
- To improve and strengthen the knowledge and skills of 5239 young people in HIV prevention and reproductive health through one-on-one talks and interviews in 10 villages in Avé Prefecture for 11 months.
- Provide HIV counselling for 1,485 youth aged 15-24 in 10 villages for 11 months.
- Track 40 HIV-positive people (33 girls and 7 men).
- Ensure the correct management of STIs in 297 young people.
- PF benefit to 220 young people aged 15 to 24 in 10 villages in the Prefecture of Avé for 11 months.
- Distribute condoms to 15 to 24 young people during the project's activities for 11 months.
Project target audience: teenagers and rural youth aged 10-24
Project locations: Ten villages (Hekpé, Tsiviépé, Andoyoto, Atidjin, Yometsin, Yopé, Zolo, Zogbepimé, Atti-Apédokoé, Anyron) of the Avé Health District
Project duration: 09 months: (March 1 to October 31, 2015)

Project 4
Priority area of action: Promoting sexual and reproductive health
Title: Communication support for social change and behaviour in the use of Family Planning services in health districts No. 2 (Common Lome) and Avé
General objective: To help increase the commitment of women, men and young people of childbearing age to identify their own solutions for making free and informed decisions about their use in health districts 2 and Avé contraceptives.
Specific objectives
- Mobilize women, men and youth of childbearing age in health districts No. 2 and Avé around family planning issues through interpersonal communications (ICPs) and community activities;
- Organize four (4) outreach and awareness of family planning coupled with community-based distribution to reach 200 people who have agreed to use short-term methods;
- Strengthen the two (02) CRIPS-TOGO centres (CRIPS-TOGO Lomé and CRIPS-TOGO Noah) as audiovisual material for their information and advice activities on sexuality and contraception.
Project target audience: men and women (INCLUDing HIV-positive women and their partners), youth and security forces of childbearing age (15-49 years) in urban and peri-urban areas
Project locations: Lomé Commune Health District No. 2 and Avé Health District
Project duration: 4.5 months: (July 1 to November 15, 2015)

Project 5
Priority area of action: Health / Education
Title: Strengthening the fight against HIV/AIDS and providing primary health care in the AVE
General objective: To contribute to the fight against STIs/HIV/AIDS in rural areas in 10 villages in AVE Prefecture, and to provide free primary health care to pre-school and primary school pupils in primary schools around the NOEPE centre
Specific goals:
- To provide advanced strategy services for STIs/HIV/AIDS prevention, HIV/AIDS counselling/testing and adequate management of STIs/HIV/AIDS cases in the cantons of Noah and Akepé for 12 months;
- Provide free primary health care to primary school students in front of the NOEPE centre for 12 months;
- To cover the learning costs of 10 vulnerable young teenagers and the school fees of 25 orphaned children for 12 months in the canton of NOEPE.
Project target audience: Preschool and primary school students, women of childbearing age, HIV-positive women, out-of-school adolescents and orphaned children.
Project location: Canton de Noépé
